Last week I ran my first 5k post child-delivery here in Gwangju, Korea. This was probably my 5th or 6th race in Korea since we moved here three years ago. And as always, it was a great time.
This year, running has really taken off in the Gwangju community because Whit has started the Gwangju Running Club. The club, which now has more than 100 members, has recently been featured in the Gwangju News, Say Kimchi News, Chosun World magazine, and I believe will soon be featured in the Korea Herald.
It's been a great success and so much fun to be able to run with others in the community--like I used to do back home.
Here are pictures from our most recent 5K.

We never expected we'd still be here when we left America three years ago to come teach in South Korea. But here we are--still eating kimchi, learning Korean, and having the time of our lives. Interested in learning more about the experience? Visit our recruiting agency,
